Hannah 3 weeks and 2 days after surgery is pretty much back to her old self. I am so happy:) Once we stopped the meds she started improving. She can hop on the couch by herself and almost on the bed (with reservations) She has returned to her favorite stuffed animal and has gone for a few car rides. I will post some pics soon!
Hooray for Hannah! 🙂
Thanks for the update, just be careful with her jumping on/off the furniture.
Hooray! We are very happy Hannah is feeling good. It is crazy how those first two weeks are like a roller coaster ride. It seems the pain meds have a lot to do with the dogs not feeling like themselves, but they need the pain meds so it is all worth it. Unfortunately it is hard to see our babies not feeling good. Enjoy Hannah and spoil her rotten! Keep us posted! We can’t wait to see pictures!
That’s great news!! So glad to hear that Hannah is feeling good now!! Can’t wait to see some pictures!!! 🙂

Yes, the first 2 – 3 weeks are the hardest to go through. Once we took Mackenzie off her pain meds (about the 10th or 11th day following surgery) she made a complete turnaround. Became the dog that we knew her to be. So it just takes time to heal and all dogs recover differently. Great that she’s feeling better – you’ll be so amazed at how well she continues to do!
Yay! We’re so happy Hannah’s doing so well! Awesome!
Yes – post some pics!

Hi, congrats! You can use a weight bench or other ramp to help Hannah get up and down from the bed until she feels strong enough to jump. Accommodating/adjusting is the name of the game. Shelby
